Child Safety Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Our Commitment

This & That is committed to protecting children and preventing any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE") on our platform.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any content, behavior, or activity that exploits, harms, endangers, sexualizes, grooms, abuses, or attempts to abuse minors.

For the purposes of this policy, a minor is any individual under the age of 18.

Our goal is to provide a safe environment where users can interact responsibly while ensuring the protection of children and complying with applicable laws and platform requirements.

1. Zero-Tolerance Policy

This & That strictly prohibits:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
  • Child sexual exploitation
  • Grooming of minors
  • Sexual solicitation of minors
  • Sexual extortion (sextortion) involving minors
  • Trafficking or exploitation of children
  • Any attempt to use the platform to harm, exploit, or endanger a minor

Any violation of this policy may result in immediate enforcement action, including permanent account removal and reporting to the appropriate authorities where required by law.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

The following activities are strictly prohibited.

2.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Users may not upload, share, distribute, request, download, promote, store, transmit, or otherwise make available any material depicting the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors.

This prohibition applies regardless of format, including:

  • Images
  • Videos
  • Audio recordings
  • Livestreams
  • Illustrations
  • Animations
  • Digitally altered media
  • AI-generated or synthetic media
  • Written descriptions intended to facilitate abuse

2.2 Sexualization of Minors

Content that sexualizes or exploits minors is prohibited, including:

  • Sexually suggestive depictions of minors
  • Commentary that sexualizes minors
  • Requests involving minors
  • Fetishization involving minors
  • Content intended to normalize sexual interactions with children

2.3 Grooming and Sexual Solicitation

Users may not use This & That to:

  • Groom minors
  • Build inappropriate relationships with minors for sexual purposes
  • Solicit sexual content from minors
  • Encourage minors to communicate privately for sexual purposes
  • Arrange meetings involving sexual exploitation
  • Manipulate or coerce minors into sharing explicit material

Attempts are treated as violations even if no abuse ultimately occurs.

2.4 Sextortion, Coercion, and Blackmail

Any attempt to:

  • Threaten minors
  • Blackmail minors
  • Extort minors
  • Pressure minors into sending intimate content
  • Demand money or favors in exchange for not sharing images
  • Manipulate minors through fear or coercion

is strictly prohibited.

2.5 Distribution or Promotion of Exploitative Material

Users may not:

  • Request CSAM
  • Trade CSAM
  • Advertise CSAM
  • Promote websites distributing CSAM
  • Share usernames, invite links, code words, or communities intended to facilitate child exploitation
  • Provide instructions for locating exploitative material

2.6 AI-Generated or Synthetic Content

This & That prohibits AI-generated, deepfake, synthetic, edited, or otherwise manipulated media depicting or appearing to depict minors in sexual contexts.

Artificial generation does not make such content permissible.

2.7 Child Endangerment

Content encouraging, facilitating, or glorifying abuse, exploitation, trafficking, or endangerment of minors is prohibited.

3. Reporting Child Safety Concerns

Users can report content, profiles, comments, messages (where applicable), or other activity they believe violates this policy using the in-app reporting tools.

Reports involving potential child exploitation receive priority review.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, you should also contact your local law enforcement authorities.

4. Enforcement Actions

When we determine that content or behavior violates this policy, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Remove the violating content
  • Suspend the account
  • Permanently disable the account
  • Restrict platform functionality
  • Remove communities or groups promoting abusive behavior
  • Prevent creation of future accounts
  • Preserve information where legally appropriate
  • Report confirmed violations to relevant authorities when required by applicable law

We reserve the right to act immediately when child safety is at risk.

5. Detection and Moderation

To protect children, This & That may use a combination of:

  • User reports
  • Human moderation
  • Automated detection systems
  • Keyword analysis
  • Behavioral signals
  • Image and media review
  • Hash matching technologies where appropriate
  • Other safety technologies designed to identify potentially exploitative content

Moderation systems are continuously improved to better detect and prevent abuse.

6. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

Where required by applicable law, This & That may cooperate with authorized law enforcement agencies and child protection organizations.

This may include:

  • Reporting confirmed child sexual abuse material
  • Preserving information relevant to investigations
  • Responding to lawful legal requests
  • Assisting investigations involving child exploitation

7. Appeals

Users who believe enforcement actions were taken in error may contact us for review.

However, content involving confirmed child sexual abuse material, grooming, or child exploitation may not be eligible for reinstatement.

Nothing in the appeals process limits our legal obligations regarding child safety.

Our platform includes features intended to reduce abuse, including:

  • Community moderation
  • User reporting tools
  • Account enforcement mechanisms
  • Content review processes
